RANGO (PG)

A chameleon (Johnny Depp) that aspires to be a hero finds himself in a Western town plagued by bandits and is forced to literally play the role in order to protect it.
Sound like a familiar scenario?
Maybe? Not really?
Well, this movie, with a supporting cast that is nothing short of astounding, is also the most clever movie of the year, so far!

Just like previous animated films that were definitely NOT just for kids, UP, DESPICABLE ME, TOY STORY 3, this is one for ALL ages!
Something you can bring the kids to and not feel you are out of place!

Here is an excerpt from a 5 Star Review:
Johnny Depp isn't the sort of star to blend in, so it's saying something that his turn as the world's most conspicuous chameleon in "Rango" is so full-bodied, you forget the actor and focus on the character. Depp is but one voice in the all-around impressive ensemble Gore Verbinski assembles for his astonishingly adult-skewing animated debut, a comedic riff on the classic Wild West formula that could, if viewed in the right light, just as easily serve as one long "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"-style hallucination.
This stunning virgin foray into feature-length animation from Verbinski and the vfx miracle workers at Industrial Light & Magic (his primary collaborator on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" pics) looks and feels nothing like the toons that have come before. "Rango" boasts not only the most photoreal visuals this side of "Wall-E" but a refreshingly unique narrative sensibility to boot, starting with its Charlie Kaufman-worthy opening monologue and Greek chorus -- technically, a mariachi band of bright-eyed Mexican owls whose songs fit the score's playful marriage of Hans Zimmer bombast and Los Lobos energy.

UNKNOWN (PG13)
Here we have one of the top movies in the country!
And, boy, all of you sure showed us these past 2 weeks you'd prefer to see it at THE AVON!!
Maybe its because of our incredible popcorn, or maybe its because we have been voted "Best Place To See a Movie" for 6 years, or maybe its because all of you think we are sooooo groovy; but, whatever it is, you came to THE AVON to see "Unknown" more than those "other guys", and we heartily thank-you for that!

Now, if you haven't seen this Liam Neeson action thriller (with a "Hitchcock" feel ) you better get a'movin'!

HALL PASS (R)
Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) are best friends who have a lot in common, including the fact that they have each been married for many years. But when the two men begin to show signs of restlessness at home, their wives (Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate) take a bold approach to revitalizing their marriages: granting them a "hall pass," one week of freedom to do whatever they want...no questions asked. At first, it sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred. But it isn't long before they discover that their expectations of the single life-and themselves-are completely, and hilariously, out of sync with reality. (From the official Warner Bros. synopsis)

Ok, folks! If you liked"The Hangover", or "There's Something About Mary", or "The Wedding Crashers", here is a raunchy and sexy comedy that is frankly HILARIOUS!!
But, be warned: This is definitely a "R" rating, so be prepared for some real "dirty joke" kind of fun!
