NOTE: CHANGES IN BARGAIN MATINEES!!
Henceforth, "Bargain Matinees" will AGAIN ALL be only $5.50 for EVERYONE!
However, this will only apply to the "FIRST SHOWS" on Fri, Sat & Sun!
So, we have rolled prices back for the matinees (they were already cheaper than
"the other guys" before we reduced them!) but we have shortened the
window for these prices.
Senior and Child Tickets remain the same for all shows.

STATE OF PLAY (PG13)
So, aside from a jaw-dropping astounding cast featuring RUSSELL CROWE (the single greatest actor living today, in my not-so-humble opinion), BEN AFFLECK (who showed his real acting chops in the overlooked "Hollywoodland" a year or three back), HELEN MIRREN ('nuff said there, right?) and RACHEL McADAMS (a true screen talent who doesn't take just "any" role), you have an incredible story that I first saw in the original BBC miniseries from 2003 just a month or so ago.
This labyrinthine story starts out very simple, and then gets deeper and deeper, pulling you right in with it all the way.
I am very interested in how the story will adapt to an American setting from the original British one, and, how a 6 hour BBC miniseries storyline was pared down for this to a little over 2 hours!
Truly, there was no fat or superfluous ingredient in the original, so I am sure the story was somewhat compressed here!

This is one I have been looking forward to for several months (can you tell?) and I will be right in there with you at the 8 PM Friday show!! (Fair warning, right?)
STATE OF PLAY (PG13)
(Showtimes in brackets are $5.50 'Bargain Matinees")

SAT & SUN: (2:00) - (5:00) - 8:00

17 AGAIN (PG13)
Remember when we were all enthralled by "newcomer" Tom Hanks in "Big" ??? There was a whole spate of those "Freaky Friday" type of movies around that time (early to mid '80's) and then they all but vanished!!
Well, it's comin' 'round again!
Now we have "newcomer" ZAC EFRON and MATTHEW PERRY in this age-bending romantic comedy that really has a lot of heart to it!
I guess there are many who wish they could "do it all again"!
(Me, I wouldn't want to do that for the world!)
This is a guaranteed "crowd pleaser" for all ages!
17 AGAIN (PG13)
(Showtimes in brackets are $5.50 'Bargain Matinees")
FRI: (4:00) - 7:00
SAT & SUN (1:00) - 4:00 - 7:00
MON thru THURS: 7:15
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
TWO LOVERS (R)
JAOQUIN PHOENIX and GWYNETH PALTROW in the limited-release movie that so many heard great reviews about, but couldn't find out where the Sam Hill it was playing!
Well, HERE IT IS, FINALLY!!
This is a well-reviewed and acclaimed low-key love story, that has some of the finest screen acting of the year, so far. The press has been all over Phoenix's "melt down", and the fact that this might just be his last film...
We'll see about that one!
This is a true "Avon movie" in every sense of that definition, and I hope you will come and support it!
TWO LOVERS (R)
(Showtimes in brackets are $5.50 'Bargain Matinees")
FRI: (4:15) - 7:15
SAT & SUN: (1:15) - 4:15 - 7:15
MON thru THURS: 7:00
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
A NOTE FROM SKIP...
I have not only much to be thankful for here at our 10th Year Anniversary, but much to reflect upon as well...
In 10 years, we went from being a little single screen "art" theater that was operated by an all-volunteer staff and only open on weekends, to a 7 day a week, 3 screen mainstream venue (they call it "upscale commercial" in the industry) with almost 20 paid employees!!

And, you know what?
>"They" said it couldn't be done!
>"They" said we would last 6 months, tops!
>"They" said Decatur would never support us!

---We ALL showed "THEM" didn't we?

Come See Me This Weekend and Show "Them" Some More!!
