Remember that we only have 3 screens. Sadly, that keeps us from playing many things.<br>We wish we had just 2 or 3 more screens so you would never have to brave the mean screens of those “other guys” (<i>HaHaHaHa</i>), but that’s not the case. We have to be brutally choosy when booking the screens, because, as a first-run theater, we can’t just bring in something for a few days. Usually it’s a 2 week minimum for major releases, and 1 week for the artsy things. <i>(And, sharing screens with 2 movies is mostly forbidden at first).<br></i>Sooooo, there ain’t no way around it: There are some things we can’t play.<br><br>2.) In some cases, we WILL bring in something that we had to skip a little later, but that depends on lots of variables. When you ask us “are you going to have it ever?” that’s something we can’t really say for sure unless we have a g<u>uaranteed</u> date for it later on down the road. If we say “yes” to that question, you know its bona fide!<br><br>3.) There are a few studios we won’t deal with.<br>This is either because of politics, or predatory business tactics, or we just plain don’t like them.<br>If we tell you “We don’t deal with that studio”, that is the final word. There is no wiggle room.<br><br>4.) There are times we make huge mistakes in judgment about a movie, or a TYPE of movie. Many had contacted me about the Mr. Rogers story <u>WON’T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR?</u>, and I blithely said “Documentaries don’t sell tickets”… then, I watched <u>WON’T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR?</u> become a top ten hit!
