<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>True, this is <U>not</U> a movie for the "mall crowd"
clamoring for the next Adam Sandler atrocity, and its certainly not for those
who have no sense of history.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>

<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>But, it is an amazing and remarkable journey for the
<EM>more discerning</EM> Avon Theater crowd!</FONT></STRONG></DIV>

<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>Someone asked me last week why it was <U>only</U>
playing at the Avon? <U>Well, duh</U>.<BR><BR>You might want to get to it this
week <U>before</U> it moves to the Twins.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>Not that there is a problem with seeing it at the
Twins, mind you, but seeing THE ARTIST in the classic circa 1916 theater just
seems to lend another element to it.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>

<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>Its already won a boatload of awards, and is nominated
for TEN OSCARS including "Best Picture", so gazillions must see the merits

former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn't quite gotten over high school,

approach, Young Adult is a funny and ultimately powerful no-holds-barred
examination of prolonged adolescence, thanks largely to a convincing performance

with coverage of the unfortunate plight of the old Lincoln
Square Theater here in downtown Decatur.<BR><BR>The problem is:
<U>SOME people get the two theaters, The Avon Theater and the Lincoln
Square Theater, confused!</U></FONT></STRONG></FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma><FONT size=4><STRONG><FONT size=3>That's
right!</FONT></STRONG></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma><FONT size=4><STRONG><FONT size=3>It sounds incredible,
but we actually have several people every day asking us about things that are
strictly the dilemmas of the Lincoln Theater as if it were US!!<BR><BR>In spite
of my requests to WAND-TV and the Herald & Review to give THE AVON
THEATER some "balance" coverage, i.e. something like: "While the Lincoln
Square Theater in downtown is up for sale, and has been struggling on
life-support for years, THE AVON THEATER is celebrating its 14th
YEAR OF <U>CONTINUOUS OPERATION</U>!!"</FONT></STRONG></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma><FONT size=4><STRONG><FONT
size=3></FONT></STRONG></FONT></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma><FONT size=4><STRONG><FONT size=3>But, all that falls on
deaf ears with the media.</FONT></STRONG></FONT></FONT></DIV>

bleeds, it leads"</EM> mentality.<BR></FONT></STRONG></FONT></FONT></DIV>
