begins to fade from view, I usually breathe a sigh of relief; albeit
one tinged with a wistful bit of regret.<BR><BR>October had always been my
favorite month in Decatur...<BR>But, ever since Troy Taylor and I founded the
Haunted Decatur Tours in 1994, and I opened the Avon in 1999, October has become
what could only be described as <EM>frantic</EM> for me.<BR>It isn't that the
movie biz is so exciting in that month---in fact, its considered one of the
slower months in the industry---its all the special events and alternative
programming we do in order to capitalize on the Avon's well-publicized haunts,
and the mammoth endeavor of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW for one crazy
midnight Friday & Saturday during the Halloween season.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3>Now, with this year's final bit of business for
Halloween (our last round of Fri & Sat 10:30 FREE horror movies), and
the 18th (!!) year of the Haunted Decatur Tours winding down another
sold-out season, <U>I am ready to look forward to the holidays.<BR><BR></U>What
a line-up we have ramping up to Thanksgiving!<BR>---And, looking forward to
December, we have our annual FREE holiday movie nights, and a hand-picked roster
of movies that will astound you!<BR><BR>The road construction on the Avon's
block is nearing the worst point, after which it will start to get better and
better.<BR>After our block is finished, then get ready for the entire downtown
to be re-done!<BR><BR>It'll be a big hassle for awhile, but the end result of
all these projects downtown will be certainly worth it!</FONT></DIV>
