Theatre, and possibly not just during our 10 1/2 year tenure

<DIV><FONT size=2><FONT size=4><FONT face=Tahoma><EM>This is, very possibly, the
biggest opening weekend (dollar wise) in the Avon's entire 93 year
history!<BR></EM><STRONG>And, well it should be too!</STRONG> When has a major
motion picture, <EM>from a major studio</EM>, about a local Decatur story, and
starring one of the biggest stars in the world ever happened here before??
<STRONG>You tell me!</STRONG></FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV>The main thing to keep in mind to help you really enjoy this movie is this:
It is NOT about "Decatur", per se'; it is a true story that is SET in Decatur,
but it is NOT "the Decatur story"! It is an enjoyable and even sardonic look at
a real incident that a lot of us remember very well.<BR><STRONG>MATT
DAMON</STRONG> does some incredible acting here, but, if you are looking for the
Matt Damon of the Bourne movies, you better wait for more of those to come to
the multiplex!<BR>The humor here is more of the ironic type we know as "black
comedy", and there are many who simply will not "get" the humor...</DIV>
<DIV>However, the intelligent and more discerning <U>Avon customers</U> have,
for the most part, been very entertained!</DIV>
<DIV><EM>(I can't imagine what the "multiplex crowds" across the country have

known as a "road picture", and the reviews have been excellent! We went to great

seats!</STRONG> It is very hard for us to sell-out! Don't be misled by the
"disinformation" spread by our competitors that we are "sold-out"! This
baloney gets put out there every time we have a huge movie, and it is simply a
<STRONG>lie</STRONG> most of the time! 700 seats is THREE TIMES the size of the
largest theater at the "other guys"; keep that in mind and always count on THE
AVON having available seats!!</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma><STRONG>* The AVON continues to be in the TOP FOUR in
<U>the entire state</U> of ticket sales on THE INFORMANT!</STRONG> After the
incredible weekend, with lines around the block, we were #3 in
statewide rankings, beaten only by two of the biggest Chicago theaters.
Now, during the slower weeknights, we have still <U>not</U> fallen below #4
<U>in the entire state</U>! I guess that shows that a movie with a Decatur
connection is best seen in a <U>LOCALLY-OWNED</U> Decatur theater! <EM>(the
other two Decatur area movie theaters are owned by a huge Georgia
conglomerate hoo-hah).</EM></FONT></DIV>
