where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of
the greatest performances in the history of rock music.

thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer's (Morgan Freeman) annual
holiday party, leads her to the coveted key, which promptly disappears into
a strange and mysterious parallel world. It's there that Clara encounters a
soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents
who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land
of Sweets.

THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN is based on the true story of Forrest Tucker (Robert
Redford), from his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an
unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the
public. Wrapped up in the pursuit are detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck),
who becomes captivated with Forrest's commitment to his craft, and a woman
(Sissy Spacek), who loves him in spite of his chosen profession.  

Critics Consensus: A well-told story brought to life by a beautifully
matched cast, The Old Man & the Gun is pure, easygoing entertainment for
film fans - and a fitting farewell to a legend.

The Crimes of Grindewald (PG13)
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald
(Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of
America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But, making good on
his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering
followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards
up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's
plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who
agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

Skip & Sue Huston (Married 34 years on Nov. 10th!!)
RANTS, RAVES & RAMBLINGS FROM THE HEAD HONCHO
On Nov. 10th, 1984, I paid $35 to the Washoe County Courthouse in Reno,
Nevada, and made Susan Burke my bride.
Our only guests were her family, and there was no cake or decorations or
that kind of hoo-hah

It was just a simple civil ceremony.
We took a short honeymoon to Lake Tahoe (only about 40 miles away)

That was 34 years ago this Saturday.

When I turned 68 last August, I realized that half my life has been spent
with Susan.
-And, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

She is a constant source of amazement to me!
With her love of running and constant trips to the gym, she is in better
shape at 62, than many who are decades younger.

As we ambled down that 34 year pathway, our family grew
 
With our daughter, Melissa, and her outstanding husband, Ryan, and two
granddaughters, Lily and Addison, my cup does truly runneth over!

Being a Decatur native, I did what so many of our young people still do, and
left in 1975 to find my future in California.
I was employed in mid-management with a national video distributor for many
years, and, after marrying Susan in 1984, I dragged my young family all over
the west as a result of promotions and better opportunities.
We went from Reno to Salt Lake City to Denver.
It was in 1989 I was offered a transfer to Illinois to cover our retail
accounts here in the state.
Susan had never been east of the Rockies.
We arrived in Decatur on a very cold winter day in December of 1989.
We had driven ahead of the moving van, with Susan, Melissa, 3 cats and a
hamster.

And, now Decatur was our home.
Susan loves the Midwest.
She still adores the high desert of Nevada, with its majestic snow-capped
mountains, and she visits family there often.
But, Decatur is where I stopped taking the relocations and promotions, and
held true to my roots.

We had been married about 5 ½ years when we came to Decatur.

The last 28 ½ years we have spent here.
I eventually would retire from the video distributor, and set my sights on
reviving an old, closed-down movie theater from my youth.
That was when The Avon Theater came into our lives.
And, now we are in our 20th year of owning and operating The Avon!

Every life and marriage has its ebbs and flows, and we are certainly no
exception.
But, we’ve never stopped believing in each other, and therein may lay the
secret.

It’s been a wonderful ride, and, God willing, there are still miles to go
before we sleep (apologies to Walt Whitman).

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, HONEY!!
It was the best $35 I’ve ever spent!
