After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous
dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother,
Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily
and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and
daughter - in unpredictable, hilarious fashion - is the only way to escape
the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into. Amy Schumer

THE LOST CITY OF Z (PG13) 
Based on author David Grann's nonfiction bestseller, "The Lost City of Z"
tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie
Hunnam), who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and
discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may
have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific
establishment who regard indigenous populations as "savages," the determined
Fawcett - supported by his devoted wife (Sienna Miller), son (Tom Holland)
and aide-de-camp (Robert Pattinson) - returns time and again to his beloved
jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious
disappearance in 1925. An epically scaled tale of courage and passion, told
in writer/director James Gray's classic filmmaking style, "The Lost City of

Shirley MacLaine is Harriet Lauler, a once successful businesswoman in tight
control of every aspect of her life. As she reflects upon her
accomplishments, she's suddenly inspired to engage a young local writer,

result doesn't meet Harriet's high expectations, she sets out to reshape the
way she is remembered, with Anne dragged along as an unwilling accomplice.

cracks". Excellent movies that you have probably never heard of! You MAY
find your next favorite movie among these selections!
"Overlooked Films" can be any genre; drama, comedy, adventure, musicals,
epics. 
You never know what you're going to get!!
Join fellow film buffs like yourself in this latest edition of the most
popular series of the Avon Theater's  17 years of film classes!
Classes are always on THURSDAYS, and start THURSDAY, JUNE 15th at 6:30 PM
(to around 9 PM) and end on THURSDAY, AUGUST 3rd.
