"The Beguiled" is an atmospheric thriller from acclaimed writer/director
Sofia Coppola. The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls'
boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier.
As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with
sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an
unexpected turn of events.

Critics Consensus: The Beguiled adds just enough extra depth to its source
material to set itself apart, and director Sofia Coppola's restrained touch
is enlivened by strong performances from the cast.

So, hot enough for you??
I LOVE hot weather, but I know I'm very much in the minority there!
The Avon's a/c is working just fine (there I go jinxing it!), so come down
this weekend and cool out with us.

We are still in discussions as to whether to simply close for Decatur
Celebration weekend.
I'd love to have the break, and Sue and I would get outta town and have some
rare time together.
BUT.I hate to close for the weekend!
However, it's always the same: Very slow business and endless people asking
to use our bathrooms (to which we say "bathrooms for customers only", and
make them mad at us!).
I'll let you know the for sure status on what we are doing for Celebration
next week.
Most of you reading this stay as far away from Celebration as you can anyway
(yes, I DO realize this!).
But, many have a bunch of fun too!
We'll see.

Come see DUNKIRK, it is the definition of "colossal".
