The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on
fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, which finds Katniss
Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the
games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and
the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights
to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The
Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a
screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's
Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film
is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over
65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. 

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 sets up the franchise finale with a
penultimate chapter loaded with tension, solid performances, and smart
political subtext.

So, Summer is almost here!!
(Got your attention, didn't I?)
As the holiday movie season for 2014 enters our lives, please keep in mind
we only had 3 screens to work with, and about a dozen movies to choose from!
We did our best, after all the arguing amongst each other about choices.

BUT.rest assured, the movies we did NOT get to for Christmas, will be coming
back to us in January and February (if they are any good, that is! HaHaHa).

 

We'll have our Special Christmas newsletter next week, and then, once the
New Year is here and all the decorations put away.it's ALMOST Summer!!

(Who was it that once said "Summer is a state of mind"?? 
Why, I think it was the great philosophical hoo-hah Dr. Skippito
Hustonavitch!!)
