GRAVITY, directed by Oscar (R) nominee Alfonso Cuaron, stars Oscar (R) winners Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in a heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space. Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earthand any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. RANTS, RAVES & RAMBLINGS FROM THE HEAD HONCHO
Decatur Ex-Mayor, Paul Osborne, is continually writing about the "Rumor Mill" in his delightful weekly Decatur Tribune.
I can see why!
There seems to be a faction in this community that likes nothing better than to spread negative baloney (as if we don't have ENOUGH negativity that is NOT "baloney"!)

The problem is: This swill becomes repeated enough its begins to be portrayed as the actual truth!

So, I have said it before, and I will say it again:

1.) No, I am NOT moving away! (I know a few of my local enemies are distressed about this, but that's tough. Deal with it.)

2.) No, I am NOT selling my house! (Anyone who really knows me personally would know the history of my house, and know it will probably never go on the market, but be passed down to family members once I have gone on to the great beyond).

3.) No, I am NOT closing The Avon! (Does the fact we are in our 16th year, when many other businesses---some of them operated by big local hoo-hahs---have come and gone in that time, mean anything?)

4. No, our new theater in Sterling is NOT my new main concern! (The Avon and Decatur are my home. Our new theater in Sterling is in the infancy stage and needs a lot of hands-on attention right now; but, its getting to the 'toddler' stage very quickly. As it is, we go up for a Friday & Saturday every 2 weeks.)

Anyway, I hope that puts some of the baloney spreaders to rest.
If YOU hear any of this, set the person straight for me, ok?
