RANTS, RAVES & RAMBLINGS FROM THE HEAD HONCHO
So....
Memorial Day weekend!
The official "start" of the summer!
One of the biggest movie-going weekends of the year, traditionally!
(And, also a VERY unpredictable weather outlook....always!)

This is starting out with a pattern that looks like a mild summer.
That's not a good thing for me, personally.
I like it as hot as it can get!
(Last summer? I loved it!)

But at least its convertible top-down, jump in the pool weather!
And, GO TO THE MOVIES WEATHER TOO!

This summer will see our new place in Sterling, Illinois open!
We are ALL so excited about that! 
After we get our new theater/bar/eatery open in Sterling, there's a couple more theater projects for me on the horizon!

You'll hear about it first, right HERE!

By the way, my last "OVERLOOKED FILMS" class for our 13 year Richland-at-the-Avon series, will start on June 13th.
After that one, and one more "TBA" class series in this Fall, I will be putting an end to the film classes!

I never thought the Richland-at-the-Avon series would be so popular, and still be going strong after 13 years, but, I'm to the point where I'm needed in so many other duties. I'll miss the classes terribly. I've made so many friends by presenting and discussing movies in the classes.

Flyers and enrollment forms for the final "OVERLOOKED FILMS" (our most popular class!) are in the lobbies now!

Don't despair, there are still plenty of classes left until they're over!
When we get to the final classes in the Fall, then we can get all misty-eyed!!

Staffers circling the globe:
Our long-time General Manager, Ashley Petty, my "right-hand-woman" and the Avon's pride and joy, will be on vacation in LONDON for a few weeks this summer! 
And, I don't mean London, Illinois either! (Is there one of those? I know there's a Paris!)

Our Team Leader, Bridget Spitzer (seen above with the Shake n Share popcorn tub) is in the Galapagos Islands RIGHT NOW!
She'll also be exploring in the Andes Mountains!
(Those Avon girls are such a hearty bunch!)

My wife, Susan Burke-Huston, just returned from a trip to Washington D.C., where she attempted to see every museum there!

And me?? At the helm of the wonderful country called AVONIA!!
Its a benevolent dictatorship, but we don't suffer fools lightly! (You know who you are!)
