SAFE HOUSE (R) 
Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds star in the action-thriller Safe House. Washington plays the most dangerous renegade from the CIA, who comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he's remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative (Reynolds) escapes with him. Now, the unlikely allies must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead.

Better late than never, right? 
We had every intention of playing this when it was first released a few weeks ago, but then Oscar Season hit us (like it always does) and our screens were all taken with the big nominated films. We had to pass on this and a few others we MAY still get back to!

I know how many of you tell me how you HATE to brave the mean screens of those "other guys", and I'm sorry we don't have more screens to cover all the movies so you wouldn't ever have to!
(But, maybe it s a good thing every once in a while to have you go "out there" and see the outrageous prices, the poor quality snack items, and the virtually non-existent customer service, to appreciate THE AVON even more! I'm just sayin'...)

1944. To help win the war, the Pentagon brass has no choice but to consider the untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Ok, so all of you make sure you buy the Herald & Review this Saturday!!
(In fact, I can't fathom why everyone in town doesn't get the paper every day! Seriously, how are you going to keep up with what our elected officials and city administrators are doing to us - excuse me "for us" - if you don't keep an eye on them?)
On SATURDAY, the Herald & Review's annual READER'S CHOICE poll results are announced in a dandy insert, and you'll get to see what reader's have voted are the BEST in the Decatur area!

Since I am forbidden to divulge any winners I know of (and I don't know that many...yet) I know I am going to be tearing open the paper on Saturday to see the winners, and the..."others".
