THE HELP  (PG13)
WOW, the buzz on this movie is INCREDIBLE!!
The book was so popular, and no it seems ALL the "Avonians" want to see the movie!!!
Here is the official synopsis from the studio:

Set in Mississippi during the 1960s, Skeeter (Stone) is a southern society girl who returns from college determined to become a writer, but turns her friends' lives -- and a Mississippi town -- upside down when she decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families. Aibileen (Davis), Skeeter's best friend's housekeeper, is the first to open up -- to the dismay of her friends in the tight-knit black community. Despite Skeeter's life-long friendships hanging in the balance, she and Aibileen continue their collaboration and soon more women come forward to tell their stories -- and as it turns out, they have a lot to say. Along the way, unlikely friendships are forged and a new sisterhood emerges, but not before everyone in town has a thing or two to say themselves when they become unwittingly -- and unwillingly -- caught up in the changing times. COWBOYS & ALIENS  (PG13)

Scoff all you want, but in this Summer of same ol', same ol'; someone is at least thinking in an original mode! (albeit a bit of a mash-up, I admit).

But, folks, you got Indiana Jones and James Bond together here!
And what better summer popcorn picture could there be than to have those 2 circa 1870's mean hombres battling outer-space invaders that have bad intentions? Very bad intentions.

So, grab a tub of the best popcorn in the known universe (hint: It ain't corn from the "other guys") , and settle in for the ride, as HARRISON FORD and DANIEL CRAIG deliver the goods on horseback!

-THIS is the movie I've waited all summer to see!!

CRAZY STUPID LOVE (PG13)
It wouldn't be summer without chick flicks, and it wouldn't be the Avon without playing the best of the bunch!
We've always had loyal support for the, er, "romantic comedies", or as the media has labeled "chick flicks".

And what a cast this one has! 
STEVE CARELL, RYAN GOSLING (one of the finest actors of his generation, in my not-so-humble opinion) JULIANNE MOORE (who seems to defy age and remains utterly an uber-babe), MARISSA TOMEI, EMMA STONE (you'll also see her in the upcoming THE HELP), and good ol' KEVIN BACON!!
PLUS, the early reviews are EXCELLENT!!

You've all seen the funny previews for this one, and you can tell from those that this will appeal to a broad spectrum of ages and audiences...
Because, all of us, YES, ALL OF US, have fallen victim at least once (I hope for your sake) to "crazy stupid love".
Its what makes the world go 'round; its how we all got here!
