THE INFORMANT! (R) Now that the dust has settled, I think audiences are able to see this for the pretty terrific movie it really is, and not for the fact that more Decatur scenes are not in it. After all, this is NOT a movie ABOUT Decatur, but rather a story that is SET in Decatur! The filmmakers could have just as easily filmed it anywhere and said it was Decatur! (Many parts of California actually look a lot in topography like Decatur!). The fact is: It was filmed HERE, and it is a darn good movie! MATT DAMON is excellent in it, but the real revelation is SCOTT BAKULA as Decatur FBI agent Brian Shepard. The humor is a very dark and ironic type, but most of the people who are seeing it at the Avon are laughing themselves silly. It will END SOON, so do not delay any longer!!

MY ONE AND ONLY (PG13) I purposely held this over for one more weekend only, because I think you need to come out and discover this wonderful memoir from actor George Hamilton's childhood. RENEE ZELWEGGER is incredible as the 1953 mom who looks for rich husbands, and KEVIN BACON and CHRIS NOTH both have siginificant roles. It is funny and nostalgic, and no one who has seen it has said a bad word about it. You have just ONE MORE WEEKEND, so get to it!

ALL ABOUT STEVE (PG13) Here is the "other" SANDRA BULLOCK comedy from this Summer for just FRI, SAT & SUN only!
We had passed on this one originally, but found ourselves in need of a quick booking this week to replace a last-minute cancellation of another film. We did play the previews for this last summer extensively, so, we hate when it happens that scheduling or circumstance prevent us from playing a film we had promoted. This has a great cast with Bullock, Bradley Cooper and Thomas Haden Church.
