SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE  (R) So, "history" was made at the Avon this week! This was the first time in our 10 years of re-birth we have been playing a "Best Picture" Oscar Winner at the same time as it won! 
BUT...it gets even BETTER...
SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE is EXCLUSIVE to THE AVON!
That means those "other guys" DO NOT HAVE IT!!
We have come a long way since 10 years ago when we were only given "6 months at best", by some of Decatur's all-knowing, all-seeing "business prognosticators"!! (You know who you are! Nyyyahhhh!!)

TELL NO ONE  (R) Are you ready for a movie that would have made HITCHCOCK proud? 
This French mystery/thriller will knock you right out of your seat! It has such a serpentine plot, you will wonder if you can even trust the person you came with to not be the murderer!!
For those of you who ask for more Foreign films, this is your chance to prove to me that they are viable!
It is very unfortunate that so many people do not realize the excellent movies they miss because of their aversion to subtitles!
This is a superb example of a movie that will undoubtedly get re-made by Hollywood, and they will blow it completely (like they have with so many Foreign films that have been remade in the past!)
This one has MY HIGHEST PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION!!

VALKYRIE  (PG13) No one expected this movie to be so good!!
That's right, Tom Cruise's career has been a little, uh, "checkered" over recent years, and, when you consider this is the true story of a WWII plot to assassinate Adolph Hitler, well, we all know how that turned out, right?
This is still a breath-taking and thrilling film, and was so good that many of our customers asked us to bring it back!!
(It played at the "other guys" over Christmas, and many of you missed it for various reasons...)
NOW, here is another chance to see a white-knuckle suspense film that defied all the odds against it!

FROST/NIXON (R) I don't know what the problem with the poor business this movie did nationwide was.
Maybe no one realized it was a REAL "movie-movie" and not just two guys talking; maybe hardly anyone knew who "Frost" or "Nixon" was; maybe the whole concept of this fabulous movie got lost on all but those who care about history---I don't know.
--The studio is trying to figure it out too!
What I DO know is this: The customers at THE AVON are a "cut above" the standard movie audiences, and I am going to keep FROST/NIXON for ONE MORE WEEKEND to give you a chance to see this extraordinary and engrossing film!

A NOTE FROM SKIP:
So, do you feel Spring is in the air?
I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet!
March can be one of the worst Winter months of all!
