INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (PG13) And so it begins...The journey resumes after 19 years, and finds Dr. Jones in fine shape for another adventure into the realm of archaeology and mystic mystery. The cast includes not only HARRISON FORD, but young adult sensation SHIA LaBEOUF, Oscar-winner CATE BLANCHETT, and, a sight-for-sore eyes KAREN ALLEN back in her role from the very first film, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Yes, the production team remains STEPHEN SPIELBERG and GEORGE LUCAS, and the music is, of course, JOHN WILLIAMS.
All of the elements that created the multi-billion dollar original trilogy all are here and waiting for you! Count this, and THE DARK KNIGHT, WALL-E and THE X-FILES as the "must see" films of the Summer!!

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN (PG) Darker and more action-packed that the first entry, this ventures solidly into LORD OF THE RINGS territory, and comes out a real winner. Expertly produced, with meticulous special effects and imagery. This is also suitable for the younger children, but toddlers may be a little frightened or distracted.

Time: 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Instructor: Skip Huston

Location: Avon Theatre, Decatur, IL (Downtown) Cost: $80

Join us at the Avon Theatre in Downtown Decatur on Thursday nights for Overlooked Films, Park VI.

Of all the many different courses that Avon Theatre owner and film historian Skip Huston has offered over the past 6 years of doing his popular classes for Richland, the one that is the most popular is the Summer "Overlooked Films" series!

This 8 week class is exhaustively researched and has proven every year to be a source of discovery and amazement!

These are not obscure art & independent films, but major movies with major stars that, for whatever reason, just "fell through the cracks". It is not that they are "bad" movies, just good movies that did not find their audience.

Sometimes the reason for their being "overlooked" is as simple as the title, or the marketing, or the business politics...

And, sometimes, they are American movies that never saw release in the United States!

Skip Huston's goal is that you will find at least one of your next favorite films in this 8 week course, and he has succeeded in just that for that past 6 years!

What a wonderful way to spend the summer!

Join a bunch of nice folks who have a common interest in movies for our screening and discussion series of the 6th installment of "Overlooked Films"!!
